Tsunami Relief Programme
21.01.2005:
On the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha Ta'awun Trust and Mill council deputed three different
teams to different affected areas like Pulkit Lake and its adjacent areas , Pudupalli
Nagar, Ansari Nagar, Kovalam, Oyalikuppam Panauyr and the Foreshore Estate in the city
limits, to distribute the about 100 Goats Sacrified and the Mutton along with Lungis,
Sarees, Readymade dresses and Blankets.
11.02.2005:
Ta’awun Trust, New Delhi and All India Milli Council, TN Chapter have joined hands
and distributed the materials like toys, fancy items, plastic goods, bangles etc., among
100 such victims have been scrutinised and confirmed as real losers due to the Tsunami
devastation of Marina Beach, at Chennai, who lost their Mobile shops and their investment
at Chennai in the presence of District Session Judge Mr. Akbar Alik and Janab Hameed Abdul
Cader sahib. The Trust so far has spent an amount of Rs. 7,00,000/- (Seven Lakhs) on the
above relief works.

Cost of land (1.35 Acre) 15,00,000/-

Construction cost of 70 houses

APPEAL – We earnestly appeal to the individuals and Institutions to
come forward and extend helping hand in this project. The Trust has already received
15,00,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Lakhs) for the cost of the land. We require 70,00,000/-
(Rupees Seventy Lakhs) for construction cost of 70 New Houses for Tsunami survivors.
