Chairman visit Tsunami Affected areas in
Tamil Nadu

| CHAIRMAN’S
VISIT – Dr. M. Manzoor Alam, Chairman Ta'awun Trust, New Delhi visited the
Tsunami affected areas in Chennai and other Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry's cities/villages. |

DISTRICTS COVERED – Chennai, Thiruvallur, Kanchipuram,
Pondicherry, Villupuram, Cuddalore, Nagapattinam and Karaikal.
Extent of Damage
Seen – All Houses, Boats, Catamarans, Nets, Houses partially destroyed;
remaining unfit for occupation.
The village Kotakuppam, Distt. Villupuram in the affected areas of different Districts in
Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry have been identified for providing rehabilitation during the
visit of Chairman to Chennai and other districts on 16th and 17th January 2005. |

The estimated cost of the project:
Cost of land (1.35 Acre) 15,00,000/-
(Fifteen Lakhs)
Construction cost of 70 houses
70,00,000/- (Seventy Lakhs)

APPEAL – We earnestly appeal to the individuals and Institutions to
come forward and extend helping hand in this project. The Trust has already received
15,00,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Lakhs) for the cost of the land. We require 70,00,000/-
(Rupees Seventy Lakhs) for construction cost of 70 New Houses for Tsunami survivors.

this world and in the hereafter. The cheques and DD may kindly be sent in favour of
Ta’awun Trust. |
