Hope you are well by the Grace of Allah. The Ta’awun Trust, New Delhi, needs no introduction as it has been in the field of welfare for a long time, Alhamdulillah.

For the last 17 years of its existence it has been regularly helping victims of natural calamities like famines, earthquakes, floods and communal violence.

It has been taking relief to and rehabilitating affected individuals and families. The area of its operations extends from Assam, West Bengal, Orissa, Bihar and Tamil Nadu to Gujarat.

Ta’awun Trust’s services include relief operations, rehabilitation, organising medical camps, payment of school fees for calamity-affected students along with note books and school uniforms.

Ta’awun Trust also helps students with scholarships. One of its works is providing financial help to the poor for the marriage of their daughters.

It is worth mention that the Trust has decided to build 200 houses for people renderd homeless by the devasting flood of 2008 in the Kosi river in Bihar. So far 37 homes have been built and delivered to the recipients. Work is in progress on the remaining houses, the cost of each housing unit being Rs 12,000.

On the other hand, the marriage of each poor girl is supported with a grant of Rs. 25,000.

The Trust expects that you would participate enthusiastically in its Islamic mission of helping our brothers and sisters in distress, especially in Kosi flood relief and marriage of poor Muslims’ daughters.

We expect that in the holy month (when every good act is rewarded by Allah in a far greater measure) you would participate in the Trust’s mission with your zakat and sadaqaat. May Allah bestow great rewards on you.
